Frequently Asked Questions
What is Genie's Therapeutics?
Genie's Therapeutics is a line of premium canine wellness products that utilize only high-quality, all-natural ingredients. The primary focus for Genies Therapeutics is to better our canine companions' lives through our wellness products. Genie's Therapeutics works by helping with muscular and joint discomfort, restlessness, sleep disorders, and stress. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for every canine, one dog at a time.
What comes with my supply of Genie's Therapeutics Signature Hemp Blend?
Genie's Therapeutics offers a Concierge Program, which is a value-added service to answer your canine questions and receive loyal customer offers throughout the years. Within the package are instructions and a pipette to administer the tincture to your dog.
How do you administer Genie's Therapeutics supplements?
There are several ways to administer the tincture. The best way to administer is to use the pipette - apply the measured amount onto a preferred treat. Please avoid any additions to your canines' diet that they have previously not tolerated. As always, if you need further administration assistance, you may contact the Concierge Program.
Are there any side effects?
Cannabis tinctures are generally deemed well-tolerated, and Genie's Therapeutics is no exception. Most commonly, we see unwanted results when we give the tincture against recommendations. The most common unwanted result is gastrointestinal upset. This upset is usually self-limiting, and it is the body's way of acclimating to a new substance. Another observed reaction is restfulness. Often owners say that their canine seems sleepy after taking the tincture. Sleepiness is not truly a side effect but rather a cessation of the undesired condition you are using the tincture for, resulting in a relaxed, comfortable pup. Although we cannot promise that every canine will perfectly tolerate the tincture, we can assure you we will be there to help if they do not utilize our concierge program.
Can I take Genie's Therapeutics products?
While our product is all-natural and pure, we cannot advise you to take Genies Therapeutics. There are many great products on the market for human consumption that using Genie's Therapeutics' tinctures for humans is not needed. The dosing structure and therapeutic needs are different for humans, and this tincture has been specifically formulated for use by canines, not their human companions.
Genie's Therapeutics tinctures are specially formulated to produce optimum results with regular use specifically in canines and therefore are not suitable for human consumption.
Will my dog get high?
Without getting too deep in the science, when used as recommended, your canine should not get "high." The most widely known cannabinoid that has intoxicating effects is THC. THC binds to specific receptors in the body that will cause a euphoric sense or a high, if you will. When using a cannabis product with both CBD type molecules and THC, the CBD component prevents full binding of the THC to the receptor, thus inhibiting euphoria. When not used according to the recommendation, any higher than 0.3% THC product can cause intoxicating effects.
How will I know it's working?
Most owners report they see a favorable response in 24 to 72 hours. Please know that we have your canines' best interest at heart, and for that reason, we advise the low and slow approach. With going slower, it allows the body to get used to this new substance. You may not see immediate results when going at a slower pace. You should start to see a change by day 3 of using the tincture, but it takes longer for some canines. We urge you to reach out to the Concierge Program should you have any concerns that the product is not working. Many other things influence how your canine responds, many of which can be altered for maximum efficacy.
What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Hemp and marijuana are both plants of the cannabis genus. Both plants contain the beneficial Phytocannabinoids. The big difference, three letters THC. Hemp is a product that is used for many purposes, including fiber, oils, and, you guessed it, CBD tinctures. For hemp to stay legal for farmers to cultivate, its raw state must contain no greater than 0.3%THC. Growing it below this level allows us to have legal CBD tinctures in a mostly anti-marijuana country. Now marijuana, on the other hand, contains more than 0.3% THC and is illegal in many states.
Will Genie's Therapeutics supplements interfere with my dog's medications?
Cannabinoids have been known to alter the needs of some medications. It competes in the liver with other medicines. Often owners report that they can decrease the amount of their canine's current medication with their veterinarian guidance.
Why do you use CBDA with CBD?
We have known for some time now that CBD is a beneficial cannabinoid for many ailments. Human research has proven this. So, it is a no brainer that we would use such a remarkable scientifically studied molecule. CBDA is a lesser-known molecule and much less studied. New exciting research has jumped CBDA into the forefront of cannabis research. Human studies have found it to be anti-inflammatory, on the same level of over the counter NSAIDs like Advil and Aleve.
On top of that great news, they have also found in human studies that it works as a tremendous anti-anxiety therapy. We at Genie's Therapeutics always want to find the best molecules to help our canines. There is now research that indicates that these two powerful compounds work better when they are together.
